GPT Image GIFs is an independent text-to-GIF web application at https://gptimagegifs.com/. Describe a subject and movement to create a looping animated GIF with GPT Image 2.6. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.

## Features and limits

- Output: animated GIF, 512 × 512 pixels, without a watermark.
- Frames: 9 or 16. Frame duration: 120, 200 or 320 milliseconds.
- Styles: automatic, 3D and clay, pixel art, illustration or cinematic.
- Quality: draft, standard or high detail. Models: Flare or Sunburst.
- Input: a text prompt, up to 3,000 characters. Reference image upload is not supported.
- An account and sufficient prepaid credits are required to generate a GIF. Browsing the public examples is free.
- Prompts, history and generated files are private to the account; they are not automatically added to the public gallery.
- Generation runs in the background. Timing depends on settings and provider load; perfect loops are not guaranteed.

A default standard GIF uses Flare, standard quality and 9 frames, costing 4 credits. Larger packs have the same price per credit. There is no free generation tier.

### What can I create?

GPT Image GIFs creates looping reactions, animated stickers, pixel art, illustrations and tiny cinematic scenes from a text description. The output is a 512 × 512 GIF with 9 or 16 frames and no watermark. Simple movements tend to loop best. Sign in and purchase credits to generate; browsing examples is free.

### How do credits work?

100 credits cost US $9.90 as a one-time purchase, with no subscription. A default 9-frame standard Flare GIF costs 4 credits. The exact price updates before you create. More frames, higher detail, and Sunburst cost more. Playback speed does not change the price.

### What happens if a generation fails?

If a generation fails, the reserved credits are automatically returned to your account. Your history shows the result. Download finished GIFs to keep your own copy.

### Are my creations private?

Yes. Your prompts, history, and downloads are visible only to your account. The inspiration gallery uses separately curated examples. Your creations are never automatically added to it.

### Can I use my GIFs commercially?

You may use your outputs subject to our terms and the model provider’s policies. You are responsible for having rights to your prompts and respecting other people’s intellectual property. AI outputs may not be unique.

### How long does it take?

Usually a little patience is all you need. Generation can take a few minutes depending on the settings and provider load. Your job runs in the background and is saved in My GIFs.
